$1 / $2 No-limit cash game at the Marriott Hotel tonight so I thought I'd take a chance and go along and play.
$100 / $200 buy-in and with 10 players at the table.
After 3 hours of play and being up and down at different stages I decided to play one round of the table before heading home.
On the last hand I had intended to play I get King 6 spades so I raise it to $20 from under the gun. Everyone fold around to the BB and he makes the call.
Flop comes King Jack 10 rainbow. BB checks so I decide to move "All-in" with my last $50 hoping to take the pot down there and leaving with $96, just a loss of $4 on the night.
BB thinks for a good while and ask himself (out-load) should he take the gamble and see if he can get lucky. During the night he has won about $400 and at this stage I'm sure he just thought luck was with him. He decides to make the call.
I turn over my King and he turns over 10, 9 off suit. He admits he thought he was behing to a King but he had a few outs so he took the gamble.
Turn comes a 9 and just to add to the pain the river is also a 9 to fill his house.
So off I came home $100 out of pocket and trying to think if I could have got away from a bet on the trun if I hadn't gone all-in.....I think not.
